<p>Jason Ormand will give a presentation on <a href="http://conky.sourceforge.net">Conky</a> &#8211; Conky is a free, light-weight system monitor for X, that displays any information on your desktop.  Conky is licensed under the GPL and runs on Linux and BSD</p>
<p>Derrick Parkhurst will give a presentation on Munin &#8211; Munin is a networked resource monitoring tool that can help  analyze resource trends and &#8220;what just happened to kill our  performance?&#8221; problems.  It is designed to be very plug and play.  A  default installation provides a lot of graphs with almost no work.</p>
<p>We&#8217;ll again have a <a href="http://www.commandlinefu.com">Command Line Fu</a> session. This time there will be prizes!</p>

<p>Audacity is free, open source software for recording and editing sounds.  It is available for Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows, GNU/Linux, and other  operating systems.</p>

Monit is a free open source utility for managing and monitoring, processes, files, directories and filesystems on a UNIX system. Monit conducts automatic maintenance and repair and can execute meaningful causal actions in error situations. As always, we&#8217;ll have beer.</p>

Chris Stackpole will help anyone that brings a system through the install and config of <a href="http://mythtv.org">MythTV</a>. Derrick Parkhurst will give a presentation on audio and video compression technology and formats, editing and transcoding software as well as where and how to get the best media including podcasts, music and movies. As always, we&#8217;ll also open the floor up to anyone interested in making a short presentation on whatever they are working on or finds interesting (to do with Linux).
